Welcome to Cornerstone online! We're glad you've found us! Whether you've been a Christian for years or today is your first day looking for answers to the bigger questions of life, we think Cornerstone Church is a great place to call home.
Cornerstone meets on Sundays in the rear hall of John Hampden Primary School on Park Street in Thame - Set your Satnav to OX9 3HU and get here at 10:15am for real coffee and a tasty array of nibbles. At 10:30am the service part of our worship begins - it's fun, welcoming and interactive. We aim to finish by 11:45am when coffee is served again; we like hanging out together! The school premises are really family friendly - not many churches can boast of an adventure playground, a large field and a football pitch all on one site!
Cornerstone is a contemporary cafe style church. We preach and teach in a way that encourages questions from the floor. Typical services will begin with 3 or 4 songs in a block, a creative prayer activity, a time of teaching and a chance to reflect during a closing block of musical worship. Every third Sunday we celebrate the Lord's Supper and regularly stick around for a bring and share lunch after church or a picnic in the park next door.
The first Sunday in a month is our 'All-age' service where children will stay in the service. On other Sundays we offer a full Sunday school called Sclub for those in years R to 6 with creative activities, great teaching and a chance for your kids to find out for themselves the BIG story of God. Find out more here. For even littler ones we offer a fully-manned creche. This allows parents to drop kids off and get back into the service unless you'd like to stay and play!
For your older kids in years 7 and up we offer an innovative discipleship program for teens which features 'on the job' training, mentoring on how to adjust to being in church services, Sunday evening bible studies and a monthly chill out night too. Check out the kids and youth pages for more details.
We are a church which cares a lot about justice, fostering, adoption and making a difference in our local community. You can see some of the things we're up to here.
