Meet the team:

Paddy Harris is our Pastor and has been part of the cornerstone leadership team from the church's beginning. He is married to Clare and they have three children; Zachary, Noah and Lily. Paddy was formerly the Youth Pastor and an Elder at Long Crendon Baptist Church who planted Cornerstone in 2006. Paddy is a keen wicket-keeper whose main contribution to Thame cricket club is in the quality of his sledging. He loves his family and is keen to pastor a church his kids love to attend. Paddy wishes he could ski and sail more than he gets to.

Clare works three days a week for an International Christian Missionary Agency in their High Wycombe office. Her duties include planning their international conference as well as administration support for the team. Clare helps out at Cornerstone in a whole heap of ways ranging from being part of the projector team to leading Bible studies.

Clare is a keen hockey player for Thame Hockey Club where she plays up front for the ladies first team. It's been encouraging for her to see a good number of church people join the club over the last few years. Cornerstone regularly provides the the highest scoring players on a weekend!

Paddy could not and does not lead the church alone. He serves on the Leadership Team alongside Bridgit Laws , Helen Bancroft, Ulrike Kibble and Phil Heard. Each leader 'holds' a broad area of church life as well as playing a role in the prayer, teaching and worship life of our church. Each also has a role overseeing one of the three parts of our +onevision. Phil oversees the musical ministry and Bridgit the discipleship aspect of +one at our church.

Ulrike Kibble as well as a Leader is the contact for the church and also holds responsibility for Safeguarding, other legislation and the brief of Evangelism at church. She is married to Mark and they have two grown up children. Ulrike holds the church diary and is the source of information for things happening in Thame. She can be contacted here if you have any questions about Cornerstone or upcoming events. Ulrike is also involved with Lighthouse Thame & Villages having served on committee in various roles over the last ten years. Ulrike is originally from Germany and has a real passion for prayer, mission and seeing lives changed.

Mark is a key member of our setup team and is ever present to help when baptistry leaks, cars break down or anything needs doing. Mark coordinates the fabric team at church and brings his skills from being a Civil Engineer to that role. He is Welsh by background, very proud of that and is a keen member of Chiltern Motorcycle club.

Helen Bancroft is our Lay Minister in Training and is the most recent addition to our team. Having worshiped at Cornerstone from the beginning with her husband John, It's been exciting to see how God has called her into church ministry. Helen oversees the women's ministry at Cornerstone as well as regularly leading services, teaching, preaching and sharing the pastoral ministry with Paddy and the wider pastoral team. Helen trained on the 'Footsteps' program run by the Baptist Union and is looking forward to not having to write any more essays!

Helen currently works part-time for the church and part time with John at Incognate their Marketing Agency. Both Helen and John are active members of the church family; John coordinates our Men's ministry and is part of our hospitality and set-up team. We are really excited to be growing the team with 'home-grown talent' and to see church members entering into church ministry. Helen is our second church member to respond to that call.
